This painting was a part of the exhibition “Christiania’s Valhalla”.
Birgitte was a young girl who lived in Christiania. In the 70’s she died from an overdose. Her death caused Christiania to rethink its drug policy.
Today only alcohol and cannabis are “legal” in Christiania.
