One of Copenhagen’s most recognizable landmarks rises against a spectacular blaze of color in Marmorkirken, an original oil painting by Marios Orozco. With its monumental dome rendered in brilliant turquoise and blue, the historic church stands in striking contrast to a sky alive with intense shades of yellow, orange, red, and pink.

Orozco’s expressive interpretation moves beyond traditional architectural painting. Thick, energetic brushstrokes sweep across the sky, creating a sense of movement and almost radiant heat around the calm, solid form of the church.
