Børsen (The Old Stock Exchange) burned today, ruining 100`s of years of Copenhagen`s history. A terrible loss for all of us. Børsen was one of the most beautiful buildings in Copenhagen. It was built in 1624 by King Christian IV and was the last of his trade buildings still standing today. But a combination with well burning wood underneath a cobber roof lead to the fall of the beautiful dragon spiral tower, that was intended to keep away foes and fire. A terrible happening in the history of Denmark.
